Werribee Fire Brigade awards night
Werribee Fire Brigade members have celebrated another successful year of service to the Wyndham community at their annual dinner held at The Refectory at Werribee Mansion on Saturday 30 May.
The evening brought together brigade members, partners, families, invited guests, community representatives, CFA leaders and Members of Parliament to recognise the commitment, achievements and sacrifices of Werribee’s volunteer firefighters.
With more than 100 guests in attendance, the formal dinner was an opportunity to reflect on the brigade’s significant contribution over the past year, including its ongoing emergency response across Werribee and surrounding areas, community engagement, fundraising efforts, training, interagency partnerships and support of major local events.
A number of brigade members were recognised on the night for their service, dedication and contribution to the brigade, CFA and the wider community.
Cameron Ward received his five-year certificate of service, and Alannah Inglis received a 10-year medal.
Lisa Bubb, Jason Inglis, Rohan Ford and Rohan Rizzoli each received 15-year medals, while Scott Green was recognised with his 25-year medal and Daniel May received his 30-year medal.
Philip Trifilo received a 40-year medal and Life Membership, while Sean Brittain received his 45-year medal and Life Membership.

Werribee Fire Brigade Captain Michael Wells spoke on behalf of the brigade, acknowledging the dedication of members and the important role families, partners and supporters play in enabling CFA volunteers to serve their communities.
Invited guests praised the pride, professionalism and respect shown by Werribee Fire Brigade members throughout the evening, with many commenting on the strong culture and community spirit within the brigade.
The annual dinner followed a busy period for the brigade, which has continued to respond to a high number of incidents while also supporting community initiatives, training programs and interagency partnerships.
Werribee Fire Brigade remains one of Victoria’s busiest volunteer brigades and continues to play a critical role in emergency response across the Wyndham region.
