The Supplementary Alerting Service (SAS) will be affected by planned maintenance to external services that support the application.

No impact to incident alerts on Monday 24 August

Ventia, the operator that manages the EAS Paging network on behalf of Victoria’s emergency services agencies, is carrying out planned works on Monday 24 August between 1pm and 5pm.

During this work, CFA will be unable to send administrative messages to CFA pagers, which means these messages will not flow through to SAS.

Incident alert messages generated by the Triple Zero Victoria CAD system will not be affected.

Members will continue to receive incident alerts through personal pagers and SAS throughout the works.

SAS unavailable on Thursday 27 August from 6pm and 10pm

Microsoft is undertaking planned maintenance across south-east Australia on Thursday 27 August, resulting in a SAS outage of approximately four hours.

SAS will be unavailable between 6pm and 10pm. During this time, members should not expect to access SAS or receive incident alerts, messages or notifications through the service.

Members should ensure their pagers are switched on and carried with them at all times during the outage window.
