Volunteer Recruitment Hub update: Enhancements roll out

The Volunteer Recruitment Hub (VRH) is getting a boost, with a series of new enhancements rolling out this week.
Volunteer recruitment assistance for brigades
Brigades are now able to request volunteer recruitment assistance direct from the VRH.
This will allow brigades to opt in to initiatives such as the Give Us A Hand campaign, as well as get additional support from their local catchment teams.
By using this status, you are signalling to the organisation that your brigade requires support and/or wishes to be engaged about recruitment initiatives.
This request will be able to be made from the “Manage Recruiting Status” tab via the VRH dashboard.
Medical changes
Changes to the medical process for recruitment were passed by the Health, Safety and Wellbeing committee earlier this year.
As a result, changes to the VRH have been made to fast-track registration into brigades for junior applicants and transferring members.
Junior applicants and transferring members will no longer be required to declare medical conditions via VRH. Instead, Junior applicants are to declare any medical conditions via processes available, coordinated by the Youth Pathways team (and in conjunction with Junior Leaders).
For transferring members, any new or existing medical conditions are to be declared as required by the CFA Regulations and SOP 2.17.
These changes went live on Wednesday 17 December.
Applicants or transferring members who commenced the medical component on the VRH prior to this date will continue following the current process, with changes coming into effect for anyone who commences registration from Thursday 18 December.

Please note that there may be delays in processing applications within the VRH between 22 December and 5 January due to leave arrangements with Health Surveillance and our Police Check provider, Fit2Work.
