What is the most favourite aspect of working with your team?

Conversation, morning tea and collaborating to achieve an outcome.

What was the most interesting or rewarding project you have been involved in with CFA?

Development of the training pathway. I particularly enjoyed this project as it gave me excellent insight into the training needs of CFA. It was an opportunity to consult with a wide range of stakeholders and to develop an understanding of the organisational training priorities. This work also provided the necessary information for the development of training types, classification and skill definitions, as it was a key foundational piece for TDD, something you would normally inherit. It was great to be able to work with CFA members to develop, which has really enhanced my understanding of training across CFA.

One thing you can't live without at work.

Coffee, tea and yummy snacks.

Tell us about a hobby, interest or achievement you have that might surprise your colleagues?

Most of my colleagues already know that I am mad about horses and of course horse riding. This year my friend Christina and I (and our two trusty steeds) came sixth in the HRCAV – Horse Riding Club Association of Victoria – Top Navigation Riders of the year. A huge team effort and a PB for all of us.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Israel… As it is a place where history surrounds you, the story of the Jewish people stretches back more than 5,700 years. Its culture is extraordinary, offering a deep connection to Jewish heritage while embracing remarkable diversity, where multiple faiths coexist harmoniously. Muslims have Friday off, Jews observe Saturday, and Christians take Sunday. This progressive approach ensures that all religious beliefs are respected and accommodated, allowing everyone to honour their traditions on their own schedule, something we don’t often see elsewhere.

What is your favourite way to unwind after a long day at work?

Cuddles on the couch with my dog.
