1. What is the most favourite aspect of working in your team?

The fact that we all have different experiences and strengths – It’s been a fantastic learning opportunity, and we all contribute something different. I’ve never worked with a group of people who get along as well as we do. It’s a privilege to be a part of this team.

2. What was the most interesting project you have worked on at CFA?

I have the opportunity to work with people from different brigades around the district. I noticed a disconnect between some of the data that is distributed regarding CFA membership demographics and what I was observing. I completed a small research project looking at the age distribution of operational CFA members and how their contributions and participation within their brigades changes as they go through the different chapters of their life. It was very interesting and honestly, CFA is doing exceptionally well for a volunteer agency in 2025.

3. Tell us about a hobby, interest or achievement you have that might surprise your colleagues?

I have a geology degree and love the ocean – I can spend hours walking a coastline, fascinated by the stories stored in the cliff faces.

4, If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Scotland. I’ve never been out of Australia, and I have Scottish heritage. It feels like a good place to start.

5. What is your favourite way to unwind after a long day at work?

At this time of year when it’s hot and dusty; walking our dogs down to the river and going for a swim.
