Photo day to acknowledge our volunteers
Traralgon South Members at D27 Photo Day
This year District 27 honoured its members with a photo day that gave them the opportunity to book a professional photo session, either individually or as a group. This was to recognise the work they do as CFA members.
Members could wear a range of uniform from work wear, dress, wildfire or structural PPC. Members were then given digital copies to keep and share with their family and friends. This also provided brigades with a range of photos to use for social media, recruitment flyers, presentations and posters.
We reached out to Blair Dellemijn from Uniform Photography who responded to our initial enquiry with “that is a fantastic idea. And something I try to promote heavily when I come out to brigades when I do their brigade photos. A lot of people aren't interested, but I tell them it's not for them but for their kids and grandkids who will look back at those photos in years to come.”
Blair was fantastic and over a two-day event he photographed more than 60 members with a range of vehicles in the background. The days were hosted at Morwell Fire Station which gave us ample amount of space to get individual and group photos.
The photos speak for themselves. We are so proud of our members and the commitment they give to their communities and they love sharing the photos in district documents as well as on social media and brigade recruitment flyers.
Thank you to everyone who was involved and supported this fantastic initiative.
A selection of the photos are available in the CFA Digital Library.
