District 14 headquarters brigade celebrates 30 years of service

The District 14 headquarters brigade recently celebrated 30 Years of service to CFA.

 

A dinner and formal awards presentation was held at the District 14 Headquarters. Both current and past members were in attendance along with family members to celebrate the occasion.

The brigade began in 1995 as the Regional Support Unit and then transitioned to the D14 HQ Brigade in 2007. Former staff members who were involved in setting up the brigade shared stories and led a conversation about where we came from. 

A number of awards were presented on the evening by ACFO Geoff McGill and DCO Operational Doctrine and Training Rohan Luke:

- Jenny Berry 10 Year Service Award

- Angela Gardner 10 Year Service Award

- Sirima Wadasinghe 10 Year Service Award

- Russ Hendry 20 Year Service Award

- Greg Esnouf 25 Year Service Award

- Jo Murfitt 30 Year Service Award

- Peter Gist 30 Year Service Award

- Len Murfitt 30 Year Service Award

- Deb Luke 45 Year Honorary Life Member Award

- John Nicholson 60 Year Service Award

- Greg Esnouf 1st and 2nd National Medal Clasps

Captain Deb Luke presented three brigade life memberships to Peter Gist, Jo Murfitt and Len Murfitt. They are all well-deserved District 14 Headquarters Brigade inaugural life member recipients.
