(L to r) CFA Board Chair Jo Plummer, Beth Davidson OAM, CFA CEO Greg Leach AFSM, Acting Chief Officer Garry Cook AFSM
The CFA Board travelled to Dunkeld, situated at the southern end of the Grampians National Park, for their May meeting.
During the visit the Board met with Group Officers from the Westmere, Serra, and Dundas Groups, along with staff from District 5 and South West Region.
The Board thanked the Group Officers for the tireless work of their members who fought significant fire activity over the past two summers. The Board also heard about the economic and social challenges faced by communities in the south-west who are experiencing record low rainfall.
This meeting marked the conclusion of Beth Davidson's OAM term as a CFA Board Member. Beth was presented with a 35-year service award, and Board Chair Jo Plummer thanked Beth for the impact she has had championing CFA's community education and fire preparedness responsibilities, and her strong focus on ensuring CFA has a culture that attracts and supports volunteers and staff from all backgrounds.
