SDRC launches incident reporting guides and proformas

We’re excited to announce that the Service Delivery Reporting Centre (SDRC) has developed a suite of valuable resources to support members in their incident reporting processes.

These resources aim to streamline data collection, improve accuracy, and enhance overall efficiency.

  1. Proformas for incident information capture:
    • SDRC has created two new report proformas designed specifically for brigades. These proformas will enable responding members to better capture essential incident details, which will improve subsequent input of this information into the Fire Incident Reporting System (FIRS). We hope that these tools will improve the transition of information from the field to the reporting system.
  2. Comprehensive guides for common incident types:
    • We recognise that navigating the various options within a FIRS report can sometimes be challenging. To address this, SDRC has created multiple report guides covering the most common incident scenarios.
    • Whether it’s a support report, a grass or scrub fire, a motor vehicle accident (MVA), a controlled burn, or a structure fire, these guides provide tailored instructions on completing FIRS reports accurately.
  3. Accessing the resources:
    • All members can access these resources through the SDRC page on Members Online
    • We hope that these tools will enhance brigade incident reporting capabilities and improve overall data accuracy.
    • These resources are living documents and therefore any and all feedback is welcome.
