Nominate now: celebrating diversity in our ESF community
As we continue to grow and evolve as a vibrant CFA community, it's crucial that we take the time to acknowledge and celebrate the diverse tapestry of experiences, backgrounds and perspectives that make us who we are.
That's why we are thrilled to announce the upcoming ESF Diversity and Inclusion Awards, and we need your help to recognise the outstanding individuals and initiatives that embody the spirit of inclusion within our community.
This is a call to action! We encourage each and every one of you to consider nominating colleagues, teams, or individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion. It's time to shine a spotlight on those who have gone above and beyond to make our community a more welcoming and inclusive space for everyone.
The Diversity and Inclusion Awards will be presented at the 2024 Emergency Service Foundation International Women's Day event on 7 March in Melbourne.
These awards serve to recognise and celebrate outstanding initiatives within ESF's 15 member agencies, we would love to see some of our amazing volunteers and staff nominated.
The awards are as follows:
1. Gender Inclusivity Initiative – This award will acknowledge a particular program within one of ESF’s 15 member agencies at the corporate, branch, or unit level.
2. Women’s Equality Initiative – This award will acknowledge a particular program within one of ESF’s 15 member agencies at the corporate, branch, or unit level.
3. Diversity and Inclusion Champion – This candidate will have made a significant impact to advance diversity and inclusion through demonstrated actions and initiative in their workplace, regardless of their role or rank. They should be a shining example of, and role model for, gender diversity and inclusion.
If you could please discuss with your teams and consider potential nominations. Please nominate by completing the below information and sending to diversityandinclusion@cfa.vic.gov.au by midday Thursday 8 February.
