Service Delivery Reporting Centre (SDRC) change of operating hours
Since August 2021, the Service Delivery Reporting Team, under the Operational Performance and Capability directorate, has delivered a number of key capability tools to better engage with brigades and ensure that our members' time is valued.
One key project was the launch of FIRS Online, a tool that allows brigades to complete all Fire and Incident Reporting 24/7, from any device that can access Members Online.
To date, more than 2,300 members from 784 brigades have used the FIRS Online platform and completed more than 54,000 reports.
The positive uptake of this platform allows the Service Delivery Reporting Centre (SDRC) to shift focus from fire report call-taking, to delivering other high quality, fit-for-purpose programs such as further FIRS Online enhancements, Protected Premise reporting tools, etc. We will use our knowledge and expertise to transition to a more specialised offering, with a greater emphasis on service delivery outcomes and analysis to support continuous improvement.
To facilitate this shift, while continuing to support and improve existing tools, the SDRC will be modifying its hours of operation.
From 30 June 2023, the operating hours of the SDRC will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
As we work towards this change of hours there will be transition arrangements introduced from 1 June 2023.
From 1 June 2023, the operating hours will be:
- Monday and Tuesday - 9am to 8pm
- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 9am to 5pm
- Saturday and public holidays - Closed
- Sunday - 9am to 12 noon
From 30 June 2023:
- Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm
- Saturday, Sunday and public holidays - Closed
The SDRC contact number remains unchanged, 1800 628 844. Alternatively, you can send the team an email at firs.online@cfa.vic.gov.au.
