September Forum follows Pomonal recovery path
As CFA prepares for the upcoming summer, the September Volunteer Forum was broadcast from Pomonal where locals are still recovering from the February fires this year.
The Chief was joined by Pomonal Captain Steve Field and other brigade members to reflect on the events of February this year, as well as discuss the plans and works in place to rejuvenate the community and prepare for future bushfires.
We were also joined by local community members Jill Miller, Chair of the Pomonal Progress Association, and Sue Macaffer, owner of Barney’s Bar & Bistro, who shared their experiences and the role local businesses play in shaping future planning.
The forum also featured video updates on Training, new trials for splash suits including a live model performance from Mal, update on the radio replacement program and images of the new Ultra Light Tanker design.
