CFA staff member Bri Dodd has put her talent to the test as a contestant on this year’s season of singing competition The Voice.
Bri, 25, has been singing since eight years old, and is well known for her performances at the CFA/VFBV State Championships, the 2009 fires 10th anniversary and other CFA events.
The Voice puts unsigned singers in front of a panel of four coaches: Keith Urban, Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian and Rita Ora.
The first auditions are ‘blind auditions’, with coaches sitting with their backs to each singer and turning their chair if they are wowed by a contestant's voice with the hope of them joining their team.
After the auditions, the coaches and their team members compete for victory in a series of battle rounds and live performances.

Singing Jess Mauboy's song Fallin', Bri turned both Jess and Rita's chairs, ultimately choosing Rita to be her coach.
Bri moved on to the next phase of the show, The Callbacks, but unfortunately did not progress, with coaches having to cut their teams from 12 to six for the Battle Rounds.
Bri (pictured above during her audition) said she was intrigued to see how she would go on the show after watching previous seasons.
“I’d been encouraged by friends and family to audition for a number of years so during the COVID lockdown I put my audition tape in and just went along for the experience,” Bri said.
“It was the most surreal feeling performing on The Voice set at Fox Studios in front of Keith Urban, Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora and Guy Sebastian.
“As much as I was trying to be present, the whole audition is a bit of a blur.
“I absolutely loved singing with the live band and am so grateful for the opportunity,” she added.
