Honour for FEM stalwart
Industry Fire Prevention Manager Leigh Marsh with Ron Hooper AFSM and members of the FEM Advisory Committee
Echuca member Ron Hooper AFSM has received a Certificate of Appreciation for his role in founding the Fire Equipment Maintenance (FEM) Advisory Committee.
An inaugural member, Ron has dedicated 30 years of service to the committee, representing volunteers and supporting the direction of FEM at CFA.
Recently stepping down, Ron, who has been a member of CFA since 1957, will still be actively out in the Echuca community undertaking FEM servicing on behalf of the brigade.
In presenting the honour, Industry Fire Prevention Manager Leigh Marsh said the fact Ron was still actively out in the Echuca community undertaking FEM activities was testament to his commitment to CFA and to the importance of the service.
“On behalf of the FEM team and past and present members of the committee, I wish Ron all the best for the future and thank him for his support and friendship,” Leigh said.
