Following the ongoing success of our annual Active April and Steptember team exercise challenges, Health Services is pleased to announce that Active April will be going ahead again in 2025.

The Active April Challenge runs from 1 to 30 April and registrations are now open. Teams must be submitted no later than Friday 28 March

As our first challenge of the year, Active April encourages physical activity, team building and the development of connections among CFA staff and volunteers. The aim of this challenge is to work together as a team of five to collectively accumulate as much time spent exercising as possible during April.

There will be prizes for teams that place first, second and third.

Yoga, walking, running, cycling, team sports, dancing, weight-lifting, body weight resistance training, swimming, pilates and other gym classes are just a few ideas of how you can get active this April.

Need more encouragement to join a team? Each team will receive a gift for each registered team member.

For more ideas about how to get active this April, CFA Health Services has a range of general online exercise programs available to all members on Members Online. There are program options that require no equipment or minimal equipment, as well as high intensity interval training and programs to support mobility and stability. Levels range from beginner to advanced. Be sure to check them out here.

You can also access our Walking Towards Health page for tips on adding more walking into your day and to find a local walking track near you.
