Exploring flexible ways to volunteer

Member News image

After engaging extensively with our members and conducting thorough external research, the Contemporary Volunteer Membership Model (CVMM) project is in the process of finalising potential options to enhance CFA's current volunteer membership model.

These proposed options aim to support our existing members while attracting a wider and more diverse membership.

Throughout 2024, CFA members provided valuable feedback and insights through meetings, workshops, focus groups, and via the Your Say CFA survey. They shared their experiences with volunteering, highlighting what works well and areas for improvement.

Insights from CFA regional leadership groups have also informed our exploration of new volunteer membership opportunities.

To hear about the project's progress, watch the video from DCO Operational Performance and Capability, Kaylene Jones.

The potential options will be considered by the CFA Executive and the Board, after which we will outline high-level implementation requirements to support the approved outcomes. A future project will be established to implement the selected model options.

We will continue to share updates on the CVMM project, including future engagement and opportunities, through Members Online and other communication channels as the project develops.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at cvmm@cfa.vic.gov.au.
