D14 Headquarters Brigade

The District 14 Headquarters brigade held its May 2023 quarterly face-to-face meeting at the Sunshine Incident Control Centre (ICC).
Captain Deb Luke gave an overview of how the ICC operates as the primary ICC for north-west metro region. The members then moved into the control centre for a facility tour.
The current brigade management team (BMT) has been working hard over the past 12 months reviewing membership and the capability in the brigade to ensure it aligns to CO SOP 2.04 Headquarters Brigades. Members identified their preferred role in either an IMT stream or a DCC operational support role and have been connected into the respecitve district teams for inclusion in training and exercising opportunties.
The BMT has also been busy supporting members to undertake the prerequisites identified by the District 14 ACFO relevant to members of a Headquarters brigade and providing opportunities for upskilling through online professional development workshops.
