The Digital Store provides new options for ordering stock items from the State Logistics Centre.

We are pleased to announce that the CFA online ordering platform Digital Store is now live and can be accessed by volunteers on any internet-enabled device.

The Digital Store is comprised of five elements, which will be implemented across two releases: on 14 July 2025 (Release 1) and November 2025 (Release 2).

Staff and volunteers can now place orders for Structural PPC on behalf of qualified members. The Digital Store platform will also provide volunteers with the ability to purchase self-funded items (workwear, dress uniforms, apparel and merchandise).

In November, we will add the ability to create and manage Brigade Purchase Orders (BPOs), Wildfire PPC requests, district-funded items, and department-funded item requests.

Background

The Digital Store is the latest phase of CFA Project Sapphire, which will simplify, streamline and modernise how we work. The expense-payment system Concur went live in 2024, and in June 2025, we launched the contemporary system for finance and inventory management (known as SAP4HANA). We are pleased to introduce Digital Store, which will simplify and enhance your interactions with CFA.

What’s changing?

Structural Ensemble Personal Protective Clothing (PPCSE)

Districts and Volunteers can now directly submit an order request in the Digital Store for PPCSE. This order will automatically be sent directly to the relevant Brigade captain and ACFO for approval, after which the PPCSE will be dispatched to the brigade or district.

We recognise that not everyone will be readily able to use the online system straight away, so the current, paper-based process will still be available and reviewed at a later date.

There is no change to Structural PPC eligibility or the process for being correctly sized.

Self-funded purchases

Volunteers can directly purchase a range of CFA items on the Digital Store. This includes workwear, dress uniforms apparel and other merchandise.  A complete list of items is available on Members Online.

NOTE: This does not replace the Brigade Purchase Order form, which is still required for the purchase of brigade-funded items
