Inaugural BMT of the Beveridge Fire Brigade
On 14 May 2024, the foundation members of the new Beveridge Fire Brigade assembled at the Greater Beveridge Community Centre for the Inaugural Annual General Meeting and elections.
The special occasion marked a milestone for the brigade, with the Chief Officer approving its formation in February 2024.
The meeting was chaired by Commander Cleary from District 12, who welcomed the foundation members and guests before reflecting on the journey of the brigade's formation over the past five years.
With the brigade set to commence operations in August 2024, the new BMT will be working closely with the district to finalise assignment tables and prepare for the operational commencement of the brigade.
The current station is also undergoing building works to include amenties, a turnout room and a meeting room.
