April Volunteer Forum recognises 80 years of CFA
CFA recognised its 80th Anniversary as an organisation at the April Volunteer Forum.
With a fire call re-enactment by Ballarat brigade members, this forum was filled with must-watch videos on the historical items throughout the Eureka Group including the restored Merryweather at Buninyong, various items on display at Ballarat City and the longevity of Sebastopol.
On the panel we had Wodonga West and CFA Board member Ross Coyle AFSM, who reflected on his four-generation family involvement; Ballarat FB Captain Nathan Cook who discussed the history of his brigade; VFBV President Samantha Collins highlighted the important role of the VFBV; and Good Friday Appeal Executive Director Rebecca Cowan on the 74-year partnership between CFA and the Appeal.
