2025 recruitment season is here
CFA’s Give us a hand statewide recruitment campaign is running for a third year.
After an independent evaluation recommended a statewide campaign to support local activity, CFA has committed to an annual recruitment drive to boost numbers.
This year’s campaign has a strong digital focus aimed at capturing the interest of our target audience, people aged 18-44. It includes social media and online video as well as some rural press and radio advertising.
Look out for current member profiles in the media, recruitment postcards and variable message boards on roadsides which will support and complement advertising activity.
This year’s campaign will run from May to end June and is targeting brigades in areas of recruitment need. Target locations have been guided by insights and input from the Volunteer Recruitment Working Group made up of regional volunteer sustainability managers, ICT, health services, training and strategic communication representatives. Reach out to your district volunteer sustainability team member if you’d like to know more about your local target areas(s) and what’s planned.
To coincide with this year’s campaign, several upgrades and enhancements are being made to the Volunteer Recruitment Hub to help make the recruitment journey a smoother experience for all parts of CFA and future volunteers.
Don’t forget you can access marketing resources and templates on the Template Toolkit as well as tips and guidance on recruitment planning for your brigade from the Volunteer Toolkit.
