One district location, many CFA resources

 

A warehouse packed with vital CFA equipment was unveiled as part of the July Volunteer Forum at District 7 HQ brigade.

 

Host Chief Officer Jason Heffernan AFSM was taken through his paces, including an on-the-spot health check, by the members of District 7 HQ brigade in Geelong.

Members of CFA’s inaugural Remote Arduous Firefighting (RAFF) unit exhibited all the equipment carried by the team when performing their tasks during an incident, including a piece of equipment the Chief challenged viewers to identify.

Also on site was the brigade’s Ground Observer Unit, Rehabilitation Unit and Staging Unit,  who all took time to highlight what tools they use to help CFA members and local communities.

As well as the Geelong City based BA Support Unit, an update on the District 7 Hose Reel Swap and Go and a training update that is an episode of mythbusters, this episode of the Volunteer Forum has something for everyone.
