Victorian Youth Fest is a month-long celebration, highlighting the contributions of young people in their communities.

Victorian Youth Fest (1-30 September) kicked off in style last week as the August Volunteer Forum from Beaconsfield showcased the talents and achievements of our youngest members.

Victorian Youth Fest is a month-long celebration, highlighting the contributions of young people in their communities. Our younger members did just that, appearing on the panel to talk about youth initiatives right across the organisation.

Some of the initiatives featured included our Juniors program (11-15 years), which is up and running in more than 170 brigades across Victoria, our Cadet Camps (16-17 years) engaging and developing our youngest senior members, and the Young Adults Advisory Committee (YAAC).

Young people are an essential part of CFA, and we recognise the value, importance and specific needs of young people within our membership base.

We believe the voice of our young people should be listened to. We seek to champion our young people and encourage them to be active in our brigades and wider organisation.

So, to mark Victorian Youth Fest 2024, we will be celebrating our young people throughout the month of September.

Here are some ways you can get involved:

Congratulations to all our young members – you are laying the foundation for a brighter tomorrow. We are proud of each of you and excited to see the impact you will continue to make.
