Spring Hill member awarded Macedon Ranges Citizen of the Year
Kathleen Wyatt recognised as Citizen of the Year
Spring Hill brigade member Kathleen Wyatt has been recognised during National Volunteers Week as Macedon Ranges Citizen of the Year for 2026.
Kathleen is a much valued volunteer firefighter at Spring Hill Fire Brigade and is one of the top members who turnout.
A dedicated community leader, Kathleen has been the manager of the Kyneton Uniting Church Opportunity Shop for a number of years. All the funds raised at this shop is returned back into the community to help those in need.
Kathleen has given the members who help at the shop a sense of satisfaction, belonging and of feeling useful. For many helpers, the shop is also a place to socialise.
Through her roles in the community, Kathleen brings people together, fosters belonging, and makes a lasting contribution to community safety and connection.
