Save the date – 2025 Annual Firefighter Memorial Service

 

The 2025 Annual Firefighter Memorial Service will be held on Sunday 4 May at the Victorian Emergency Services Memorial in Treasury Gardens, East Melbourne.

 

The memorial service is an opportunity to honour the 82 CFA firefighters who have lost their lives while serving their communities, and a way for family, friends and colleagues to honour, reflect and remember.

The service will align with International Firefighters’ Day – 4 May – a global day of remembrance, established by CFA members in 1999 after the tragic Linton fire.

Details of the service

Location: Victorian Emergency Services Memorial in Treasury Gardens, 2-18 Spring St, East Melbourne

Date: Sunday 4 May 2025

Time: 2pm

Family members and friends, CFA and Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria (VFBV) executives, as well as government representatives will come together to remember and honour the personal sacrifices and commitment firefighters make every day.

Light refreshments will be provided following the ceremony.

The event will be livestreamed on CFA’s YouTube channel.

Invitations with RSVP details will be shared in March 2025.
