Resources available to help CFA members claim their rebate
Less than 20 seconds – that is the average time it is taking CFA members to complete the eligibility check in the CFA portal for the eligible volunteers’ rebate scheme which is administered by Department of Government Services (DGS) as part of the Emergency Services and Volunteers Fund (ESVF).
CFA has released further resources for brigades and members to assist volunteer applications for the Volunteers Rebate on their principal place of residence or farm. Access the ESVF home page on Members Online.
The most common query received on the CFA callback line relates to members logging into CFA Members Online, with 'how to' details available here.
Click here to access the ESVF eligibility process, which has different QR codes that direct members to the relevant resources/platforms.
Click here to access the ESVF CFA portal information sheet, that outlines the two separate processes and aligned contact details.
Members can apply for the rebate prior to payment of their 2025-26 rates notice and CFA understands many members have experienced heightened activity over the past few months. However, CFA wants to ensure members don’t miss out on funds they’re entitled to.
CFA is working with DGS to ensure it has accurate information about volunteers who are eligible to be considered for a rebate based on the criteria which has been outlined on the Victorian Government website.
