Planning an open day, community event or brigade function?
CFA has developed an Event Management Planning Framework to assist both volunteers and staff work through an event planning process for internal and external events, small and large, such as open days, field days and community events.
It includes practical information and resources to help plan, promote and deliver a successful event while maintaining the safety of our members and our community.

Corporate events
For corporate events, a framework has been developed to provide a standard, unified architecture to help staff members undertake a consistent approach to corporate events.
This framework provides a contextual overview for CFA, including the assessment, planning and evaluation of corporate events, and CFA’s role within them.
The five key objectives are:
- to ensure events support CFA’s corporate objectives
- to ensure consistency of approach to corporate events
- to build capacity and resources for the delivery of events
- to ensure consistent evaluation of each event and embed a continuous improvement process
- to plan, develop and maintain accessible and appropriate events in line with the State Government's Public Events Guidelines.
