LMS updates and new features you can expect
Significant work is being undertaken on several projects in The Learning Hub (LMS) which you can expect to see roll out across August and September.
New course template definitions and a new course catalogue structure that aligns to the training pathway will be released. News items about this will let you know when this has been released. Access is being updated to provide consistent and stable access for all members.
1. A specific Instructor profile is being created. You will receive a separate email when this is active. After it is activated you will be able to access course materials through the catalogue and access participants lists and mark assessments when you are logged in and have selected ‘instructor’ from the profile options available. See the images below. If you do not get access to this it may mean that you instructor skill is incorrect in the system so speak with your Lead to help troubleshoot.
2. Instructor ‘skills’ are being updated. When you view your skills list you will be able to see new skills appear in your profile that align to the training qualification you hold and your classification as an instructor, trainer under supervision or assessor. If you think the skill listed under your profile is incorrect please make contact with your Lead who can assist you in getting your record updated.
Skills are identified distinctly from units by the SK at the front of the code. The following skills relating to instructors are identified in the system:
