Have your say: Instructor Credentials and Selection and Recognised Practitioner procedures
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the quality and consistency of training across CFA, we are excited to share two draft procedures for feedback.
We now invite you to review and provide feedback on the following draft procedures:
1. Instructor Credentials and Selection Procedure
This procedure outlines the qualifications, vocational competence and industry currency required for instructors at CFA. It also details the mandatory checks that must be completed before assigning instructors to training courses, and ongoing requirements ensuring we meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
2. Recognised Practitioner Procedure
This procedure defines a recognised practitioner as an individual with extensive experience and expertise in a specific area. Recognised practitioners can co-deliver training alongside a TAE-qualified instructor, adding valuable practical knowledge to our programs. The procedure outlines the requirements for their engagement and the checks that must be performed before allocating them to a course.
These procedures play a critical role in maintaining high standards across all CFA training, including the delivery of National Units of Competency and Enterprise training. Your input is crucial to ensuring these procedures are practical and effective.
How to provide feedback
We encourage you to review these documents and share your feedback by 22 October 2024. Both procedures are available for review and comment on the Policy Bulletin Board.
Comments should be provided using the Bulletin Board (link above) so that they can be easily compared and addressed by the author. Your feedback is important, therefore we request you read the on screen instructions prior to logging comments to ensure your feedback reaches the document author as intended.
Your insights will help shape the final versions, ensuring they meet the needs of CFA and support our commitment to excellence.
Thank you for your time and contributions. Together, we are building a stronger foundation for training across CFA.
