CFA recognised by Toastmasters International
Toastmasters Region 12 International Director Monique Tonna with CFA CEO Greg Leach AFSM
CFA has received a corporate recognition award from Toastmasters International, which is a US-headquartered non-profit educational organisation.
Toastmasters International operates clubs worldwide to help people develop communication, public speaking and leadership skills. One of these clubs is Wandin D13 Toastmasters Club, which was founded on the basis of member development for staff and volunteers of CFA’s District 13. You do not need to be a CFA member to join, but CFA covers the cost of membership fees if you are.
Toastmasters International has many clubs and members based in California, which was recently ravaged by wildfires. Californians are well-aware of the threat of fire that they share with Victorians, and the work of CFA is highly regarded.
Upon learning of CFA’s partnership with Toastmasters through the Wandin D13 club, a California-based member suggested bestowing CFA with a Corporate Recognition Award for their support of members who are looking to increase their leadership skills.
In May representatives from Toastmasters International visited CFA headquarters to present the award to CFA CEO Greg Leach AFSM.
Representatives included:
Monique Tonna - Toastmasters Region 12 International Director
David Martin - Toastmasters District 73 District Director
Janine Wan - Toastmasters District 73 Program Quality Director
