CFA members to be more secure with multifactor authentication

Member News image

This month CFA will introduce Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for our members when they access CFA accounts and systems.

MFA is a method of authentication where a user is asked to provide two independent credentials to verify their identity.

CFA is implementing MFA to better protect the personal information of all CFA members, which CFA needs to retain for operational and compliance reasons.

This will be applied to CFA systems such as:

  • Members Online
  • LMS Learning Hub
  • Volunteer Recruitment Hub
  • FIRS online
  • CFA Microsoft 365

Members will receive further communications and instructions over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth implementation and that members have support needed during this transition.

Further information and how to guides for members on MFA is available on Members Online.

Watch CFA CIO Brendan O'Kane below, talking about MFA at the August 2024 Volunteer Forum.
