Congratulations to the 2024 graduates of CFA’s Regional Leadership Scholarship Program.
This year, 11 CFA volunteers successfully completed the program, acquiring essential leadership skills and confidence that will empower them to make an even greater impact in their communities.
The Regional Leadership Scholarship Program (RLSP) is a key component of CFA’s Volunteer Leadership Development Program, designed to support CFA volunteers in developing leadership capabilities through participation in one of nine Community Leadership Programs (CLPs) across Victoria. These programs aim to foster local leadership, strengthen community connections and drive regional development.
For the duration of the program, participants engaged in a variety of enriching activities, including workshops, hands-on learning, guest speakers and community tours. This combination of theoretical and practical experiences provided volunteers with real-world, locally relevant insights, equipping them with the tools needed to lead effectively in their communities.
The program’s diverse learning methods ensure that participants not only enhance their leadership skills but also gain a deeper understanding of the regional challenges and opportunities that shape their communities. As a result, graduates leave the program prepared to continue their leadership journey in their brigade or with a renewed energy to pursue leadership roles in CFA and beyond.
One of the key benefits of the RLSP is the opportunity it offers for participants to build strong networks with other local leaders. The shared experience of the program fosters collaboration and peer support, strengthening the collective impact on regional development.
CFA is proud to fund the RLSP, ensuring that every volunteer has an opportunity to participate in leadership development programs and grow as a leader. There is one scholarship position available for each of the nine CLPs, except for the Gippsland Community Leadership Program, which supports two scholarship positions. This funding demonstrates CFA’s commitment to developing leaders who will continue to serve and inspire their communities.
