Capturing the January fires

CFA is calling on brigades to help build a comprehensive visual record of the 2025/26 fire season by submitting their photos and videos for use on CFA's various platforms, including the Digital Library.

 

With imagery already uploaded from across the state, CFA's Digital Library is being expanded to reflect the full breadth of CFA activity during the season.

The growing collection includes content from the Longwood, Otways, Harcourt/Mt Alexandra, Towong and Walwa fires.

The images and videos captured by members highlight not only firefighting operations, but also planning and coordination, staging areas, logistics, community engagement and recovery activities that support incident response.

Brigade contributions are essential to showcase the work and effort of our members across Victoria and accurately reflect and tell our story on CFA channels.

Brigades are encouraged to submit photos and videos as they become available, helping to preserve an important record that supports training, learning and storytelling now and into the future.
