Be Firewise - new children's video series launched
CFA members Elissa Jans, Steve Walker and Scott Allison filming at Sassafras - Ferny Creek station
As part of the redevelopment of CFA’s children’s education offerings, we are excited to share the release of 13 new fire safety videos.
These videos have been developed for children in lower and middle primary school. They have been designed to supplement classroom learning opportunities, and help children understand a range of fire safety topics including smoke alarms, home fire escape plans, Fire Danger Ratings and more.
We were lucky enough to have some amazing CFA members from across the state volunteer to participate in the filming, and we were so grateful to all of them for giving up their time to be part of this new series. We were also grateful to partner with Triple Zero for a video with them. A big thank you to Bayswater and Sassafras – Ferny Creek brigades for allowing us to film at their stations.
You can find all the videos on CFA’s YouTube page. Please share on your brigade’s Facebook and Instagram pages, with friends and family, and with your own members.
Stay tuned for more exciting developments in children’s education over the next year.
