2025 Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal – How to get involved
CFA has been a proud and passionate supporter of the Good Friday Appeal since 1951.
That’s 74 years of our members rattling tins, hosting fundraising events and volunteering their time to raise money for The Royal Children's Hospital.
CFA volunteers who turn out in their thousands are a central part of the Appeal. Our volunteers are out on fire trucks and at traffic lights, in shopping centres, football clubs, camping grounds and at hundreds of events across Victoria shaking those Good Friday Appeal tins as people open their hearts and their wallets to support The Royal Children’s Hospital.
Regional fundraising
In 2024, for the first time in the Good Friday Appeal’s history, funding took the RCH excellence into the regions to support training, scholarships and state-of-the-art equipment. This important investment will improve the experience and outcomes of children receiving care in regional settings, keep children closer to home and increase capability in the regions, making the pathway to specialist care easier. CFA Good Friday Appeal physical collection activities
As per the Brigade Management Manual, brigades may assist third parties undertake their own fundraising such as the annual Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. If a brigade decides to participate or be involved in activities to support a third-party organisation, it must be recorded as a motion in the meeting minutes.
