The 2024 Women in Leadership Mentoring Program officially launched on 13 September in Marysville, introducing 15 dynamic mentor-mentee partnerships that represent all five regions.

At the inaugural weekend session, mentors and mentees met for the first time, with each partnership officially announced. Participants received a thorough overview of the program, including an introduction to mentoring principles and details of the Partnership Agreement.

Weekend highlights included an engaging Marysville Fire Brigade talk from Captain Travis Gleeson, a welcome to the Program from the Chief Officer and a Q&A session with the Interimn CEO.

This 12-month program is designed for women volunteers who are currently in, new to, or aspiring to leadership roles. It aims to foster professional growth and development through these valuable mentoring relationships.

The Women in Leadership Mentoring Program, an initiative of CFA’s Women’s Advisory Committee, is funded as part of the Volunteer Leadership Development project to enhance the capability and confidence of our women volunteer leaders.
