CFA shares insights at Safer Together Science Symposium
As bushfire risk continues to evolve, collaboration, research and innovation are playing an increasingly important role in helping keep Victorian communities safe.
CFA was once again proud to support the Safer Together Science Symposium, with the third annual event being held on 25 August. The symposium is a cross-agency forum, bringing people together from the bushfire management sector to share research, insights and lessons learnt from recent fire seasons.
CFA was well represented at the symposium, with five presenters contributing insights across a range of topics, with the January 2026 fires being a primary focus. Their presentations are helping showcase the important role science-based research, modelling and knowledge development play in supporting firefighters, communities, the environment and the way we manage bushfire.
